Guest guest
OK..reed to let come and visit me during his vacation the first part of AUGUST!!! I was planning on holding off until October, but he has this vacation that pretty much everyone in Paris gets...it's above and beyond the normal vacation (lucky stiffs!) and he was really bumming out at the thought of two wasted weeks, when he could be with me...sticking at home in Paris writing me e-mails. We had a talk, and I told him I'm in process and that I'm worried that he won't be attracted to me, etc...And he said, "I love you...remember!!" He said he doesn't care if I'm not thin, etc.. blah blah blah. Easy for him to say, he's only seen a couple of pictures of my face. SO, here's the thing: by the time he comes, I will have been out for like..hmmmm...about eight weeks. How much did you guys lose eight weeks after your surgery? What can I maybe hope for? Help!!!RobynnMaggie wrote: Hi all,It seems I read about someone getting their cpap machine adjusted...I think mine needs one. Guest guest
Just my 2 cents (even though I'm not 8 weeks out), according to people who have gone before me (sister, sister, sister-in-law), about 40-50 pounds is what they lost. Guest guest
I would probably guess you will lose about 30 at that point. 3-5 per week but within reason. I don't want you getting your hopes up. Guest guest
Robynn, I can totally share my experience with this!! Back in my single days I met a guy online, he lived in Orange county. I lived in SF. We were online dating for two months and I (like you) only sent him a few head shots. Because we were only 7 hours away from each other he wanted very badly to drive up to SF to meet me face to face. I was so scared that once he saw me he would run for the hills. I had hinted at my weight a few times,to kinda feel him out. I never came right out and said i'm a big big girl. Finally he said. I know you think I won't like you because your not thin and thats just not the case. I'm coming next week-end and thats it. The way I saw it was , I had two choices 1) To just let him come, see me and get though a very awkward week- end till he could leave. or 2) To take some whole body pictures, no holds barred. Just put myself out there and trust he would still like me. I had a friend come over and we went to the park and took a ton of pictures. I picked out like 5 and I purposely put in one that we not so flattering. I thought I don't look super great in the morning lol. Then I sent them off,,,and waited,,,,and waited,,,, I thought ok he's gone for good. Better for it to happen this way then for him to drive down and be rejected in person. Well The wait was killing me all of one day lol The next day he sent the most beautiful long stem roses with a card that said, you are more beautiful then I even imagined, see you in three days,,,,, I was soooooooo excited! I knew he saw me in full figure and liked what he saw. I could not wait to see him as I knew my worse fears had been conquered! We had a great ten month relationship lol,,,neather one of us wanted to move so we ended it. But it was a huge lesson for me to just put my fears out there and truse in god and to have faith. I also learned that having faith is not just about being ok when things go my way ,but being ok when they don't. Just my 5 cent Shell > Hi all, > It seems I read about someone getting their cpap machine adjusted... > I think mine needs one. Guest guest
Robynn--IMHO if the guy doesn't love you for your mind, it aint worth it. Loving you for your body alone (or you loving him for his body alone) doesn't last. Like everyone, just trust that your looks can't be bad enough to chase him away. Neither my hubby nor I are considered physically beautiful or hansome, but our marriage has lasted 25 wonderful years. It's our friendship that really helped.
