I also started the diet without major symptoms (constipation was the main one).

I had the 3 month flare, but it was only for a couple weeks. Since then, I've

only had one bout of constipation. This is pretty much a miracle for me!

Although it doesn't feel like it when it's happening, the 3 month flare is

actually kind of a good thing. You get rid of a bunch of the bad guys and are

all the better for it.

A couple weeks ago, I had a partial bowel obstruction (I ate something too

advanced). I had to do the intro for 5 days (I only ate yogurt, eggs, and grape

juice). Even though I'm 9 months in the diet, I think it still caused some die

off. I had a major increase in gas and odd stools, which are now starting to

resolve one week later. So even though you don't think you would benefit from

doing the intro diet for a few days, you may be surprised!

3-month problems on the diet.  I had initially only committed to doing 1 month

of the diet to see how it goes.  I have Crohns but it's pretty mild and there

are days I don't even feel like I have it.  For day 1 and 2 I did the intro diet

for breakfast and lunch. For dinner I made a SCD-legal meal, although some of

the foods are considered advanced, like homemade salsa (raw vegies) and some

very small pieces of a bread made from coconut flour.  The first 2 days haven't

bothered me at all (but like I said I normally don't have a lot of symptoms

anyway).  My concern if that if I stick with the diet, I don't want to be worse

off 3 months down the road because of some flare.  Any ideas?
