Either/or. Only further testing will determine it.

Give him a small amount in another few days and test the reaction

then. And then gradually increase " the dose " to see how well

he keeps on reacting.

That's the only way you can know.

But one reason to limit reasonably is that otherwise

what you may be doing is working up to a fine time

in the short term and a bad time around the 3 month

flare period. That is, the effects might not be immediate,

but it could be that they feed some of his pathogenic

bacteria, the population of which will then begin to increase

sizably, leading to a hard to eradicate gut ecology/bacterial issue that

will surface around the time of the 3 month flare. (I

speak from experience, as I definitely ate some advanced

food too soon, leading to a lousy, long lasting 3 month

flare period. It's a live and learn kind of a thing.)

BTW, have you tried green beans and peeled green/red pepper

for him - or does he have some animus to those veggies as well.

We've done well-cooked green beans and red peppers. He loves both. He's a good

vegetable eater except for squash. I did get some squash in him by mixing in

honey, butter and cinnamon. He'll be happier when he can have a wider variety

of vegetables, although he seems to be settling in to what he can eat pretty

well now.

We'll stick to cooked fruits for quite a while longer. I keep reading about the

3 month flare and don't want him to get caught badly by it. It's good to have a

warning this far ahead. I've learned way more by reading posts here than I did

by reading the book twice!

Thanks,

Liz
