Didn't you have the white spots swabbed and they were determined to be strep? Then have an antibiotic shot and have them swabbed again and it tested negative? After receiving antibiotics swabs will always test negative but it doesn't mean the strep is gone. I'm concerned that you still have the strep but the prednisone is masking the pain of it. Are the patches of white smooth or are they crusty? When I had strep, almost every year the first 25 years of my life, the white crusty patches would fall off after a few days of antibiotics. I stayed on the antibiotics for a minimum of a week. Please be sure that the strep is all gone and not just masked by the one antibiotic shot and the prednisone. I've never heard of strep patches turning into yeast patches.

Can die off cause mad crazy bloating? I look like I"m pregnant! ( I'm not, btw =D ) Since I figure I have yeast in my throat, I ate two cloves of garlic raw today, but didn't think too much about what it would do to my insides...with the bloating now I'm thinking it didn't make the little buggers inside too happy. I also gargled with ACV 4 times. Needless to say I had super bad breath all day, in addition to bloating =)Should I continue my raw garlic eating tomorrow? I really don't want to take meds for the yeast, but I dont want to mess up anything in my gut either. Also, does the yeast in my mouth mean I have it in my gut? And should I stop eating sweet things? Boy you are brave.. eating two raw cloves.

I would not do this.

If you wanted to at least juice it! But I think it is way too harsh on your

system.

If the yeast is really bad and you aren't sensitive to meds take the diflucan

(or nystatin- easier for some since it isn't metabolized in the liver) It can

really help. Natural stuff can just as harsh sometimes even more difficult.

Sounds like you are frustrated and trying to kill those buggers in your throat!

Take it easy- work with your body. It will straighten out. Does it hurt when

you swallow at all?

Please be sure that the strep is all gone and not just masked by the one antibiotic shot and the prednisone. I've never heard of strep patches turning into yeast patches. I'll be sure to ask my doctor about it. Today's my last day of prednisone though, so hopefully it won't be masking things too much longer. And actually I had four shots, two the first day and then two more a couple days later. too - removing cow products after vacation to see if it makes a difference - why
