Hey Kay,

Everyone has given you some great advice, but I want to throw in my 2

cents worth.

I too had that heavy feeling when I first started eating foods. Eggs

laid like a rock in my tummy. After eating I would wait an hour and

start drinking water. A few swallows at a time. The next day about

the same time, I did the egg again. And repeated the routine. The

3rd day egg felt fine. Then I tried tuna salad. Same thing. Laid

like a rock. Ate tuna for a few days and now tuna is fine. My new

item is soft moist fish filet baked. I have had it for the last 3

days and it feels fine. Tomorrow I am going to try Chicken babyfood

and see how that goes. Thursday I can graduate to eating solids but

I plan on sticking to this same plan, 3 days trial period. I think

the important thing to remember is our stomachs need to be treated

like a baby. We do not start babies out on a bunch of different

foods without causing tummy pain and gas. So, if you eat the same

food for 3-4 days, once a day, then wait to introduce something new.

Do not try to eat 2 new things in one day. This way you can find out

for sure what you can and can not tolerate. My Dr says if you can

not tolerate it wait a week and try it again. Do not give up forever

because you will be able to eat most things someday. But babies must

be babied. One more thing: make your sugarfree jello with Sparkling

water or Club soda/water combo and you will find that it cuts that

aftertaste. Rasberry is the best with Lemon/Lime a close second.

The worst thing you can do for yourself in to let your stomach get

empty. It will cause you to be nauseated. Keep fluids or food in it

all the time. Keep a glass of water by the bed.

Good luck to you, Kay.

Viau
