Guest guest
I have hypothyroid and I lost 165 pounds with the surgery. I still take my synthroid everyday, in fact it might need to be raised(my opinion, I havent had it checked yet). Hypothyroidism is NOT something that will be cured with weight loss. It does make maintenance a little tougher, the loss a little slower but all in all not enough to be a hindrance. Huggles > Does anyone have a hypothyroid and know if it gets better after > surgery? Guest guest
Just a thought . . . maybe your thyroid levels have changed and that's the reason you're struggling with your weight now. Maybe you need to get them checked again?? --Sandi > > Does anyone have a hypothyroid and know if it gets better after > > surgery? Guest guest
I just went to see my PCP to discuss possible causes and he said my last blood work 6 weeks ago showed that they were fine. I didnt even know he had requested a thyroid check. LOL I really think its all the protein shakes and grazing I was doing. After talking to Dr Fisher yesterday, I am not doing them at all now, unless its a long time between meals and I did not prepare a low cal protein snack like a yogurt. TIM..Where do you find the Hood yogurt again? I cant seem to find it!! Huggles > > > Does anyone have a hypothyroid and know if it gets better after > > > surgery? Guest guest
, I don't know if you have Raley's in the Bay Area, I never found any when I lived there, but Bel Air and knob Hill foods are the same, and I think you have Knob Hill Foods there. If there isn't one close to you, then try Albertson's. I have never seen the Hood there, but I have found Cannon light and fit carb control yogurt, and it is an acceptable substitute. It is also a good size for a snack, being only four ounces with sixty calories.
