Guest guest
Aren't those popsicles the best?? I love the tropical flavored ones, especially the pinapple ones. Yum! I only used that pain medication the first night home so I could get a full comfortable nights sleep. Other than that, it is just sitting there. Did you order your vitamins already? You are supposed to start taking those the next day you come home from the hospital. They aren't hard to digest or anything. Just a pain to remember to take unless you write out a schedule and check mark next to them the times you took them. How are you doing with walking around? Getting out much? It really helps you feel better. Isn't it great? The hardest part is over! Kay > Hi all, > Well they sent me home with a big bottle of liquid pain medicine...only > I just don't have any pain. Guest guest
LaWanda: Hello to you. I also have a viatmin question. I have been taking all of the vitamins for the last month, and have stocked up to make sure that I have enough for post-surgery. Here is my question: At orientation, Beth told us that it was totally okay to take vitamins in pill form, not chewable. She said that they have never had anyone come back because they had a pill stuck. But I am a little concerned because my calcium pills are quite large. Did you need to get chewables, or did you take regular ones right off the bat? Thanks in advance for you answer. Guest guest
Hi Some pills just dont digest. I use to see x-rays all the time with whole pills in the digestive track. Calcium should be taken in a powder form you can put it in capsules but I would just take the powder in my shake no taste. Vita lady has good source. Hope this helps..... Guest guest
Per advice that I got from Fremont, I got chewable multis, but I could have swallowed anything and did swallow lots of things. I don't know if you'll have trouble swallowing, that seems to be something that can vary from person to person. Don't really feel like I've toldyou much that helps, but that's all I can tell you. Guest guest
Ill tell you how I make my shake: 1 cup crushed Ice 1 scoop vanilla protein mix 1 scoop Citrucel 1 scoop upcal D a little orange tang for flavor 1 cup of ether vanilla soy milk or the Hood Carb countdown Put in blender whip and yummy it taste like orange Julius. My multi Vits I take in capsule form. They are powder form inside of a capsule that way when I have surgery I can open them up and poor them in the shake. To make less half the Ice and milk. Remember I haven't had the surgery yet. Just starting now so I will have a game plan... Enjoy Big Hugs Caryl I have a bunch of Upcal D in my house right now. The problem with it was that I would find big deposits of it in the bottom of my glass, swirl as I might! Since I am almost out of my Calcitrate, might try it again. Guest guest
Before my surgery, I decided to go buy liquid vitamins. When they ran out, I bought chewables. Then I discovered Bariatric Advantage vitams! I really like them, and even though they are a little more expensive, I feel better about using their brand. Sure, I could probably swallow the regular ones, but I just feel more confident with that brand. As far as the calcium pill getting stuck, can they be cut in half? That might help if you decide to keep using the ones you have. --Sandi > LaWanda: Hello to you. I also have a viatmin question.
