Yes, the Hood yogurt is the one that says " Atkin Approved) on the

carton. That's the only one I've ever seen in the stores, so that

should be OK. It is low carb, high protein (for a yogurt).

I didn't go through Richmond, but I suspect that you should try to

drink as much water as you can without feeling sick or sore. I seem

to remember (over a year ago) that I only did that one ounce every

15 minutes for the first week. After that I just tried to sip, sip

and sip as much as I could until I started to feel uncomfortable.

As far as the signature, the only way I can figure to do

my " signature " is I've saved it on a separate text file in Word or

notepad; and I copy that into my message.

Thanks Sandi for the reply! My instinct was telling me that was

going to be okay, but I wanted confirmation. I can now send my

hubby back out and he won't think he is on a wild goose chase any

longer.:)

My goodness, seeing your stats at the end of your signature is

impressive! 140 lbs in a year? WOW! I have about 150 to lose total

from now for my goal to be reached. Dr Baggs was thinking since I am

5'6 " I should end up 135-140 total? I can't put my mind around being

that size again. It has literally been 25 years! My 20 year high

school reunion is next year, so I have BIG incentive since I want to

attend.

I bet you will be sporting that skin free bod in no time. That is

the part that I don't have to worry about just yet....getting used

to eating normal foods is the thought that keeps me up at night

right now.

I felt my first rumblings of " hunger " today. Is it hard to wait

until your scheduled meal time now that you are a year out from

surgery?

How soon did you start your excercise program once home from the

hosptial? I walked twice as far as I did yesterday outside and came

back and fell asleep. I think I over did it?

Thanks also for the tip on the water. I will try to just keep

sipping once I hit Tuesday. Right now my pouch gets tight feeling

after 1 1/2 onces at a time. I don't like that feeling!

I will have to do as you suggest and save my info elsewhere to

access it for signatures! I am not so computer literate and forget

there is that thing called the notebook I can use as a tool! lol

Have a good rest of your day!

Kay--I know my stats look pretty good, but I'm still disgusted with

myself that I've been loosing so slowly since December. Only lost

about 15 pounds since Jan 1st, 2005. It's like I've done great, but

what have I done lately??? (LOL)

I get sleepy at work, and sometimes I get the urge to snack, and

sometimes give in. I know I should try to take time to get up and

move, but a small snack often helps wake me up, too. In the past

few months I have also drunk some of decaf coffee, but even the

decaf must have a litttle caffiene still in it, cause it does work.

I worry that the small amount of caffiene has slowed my weight loss

down too.

I still have the urges to eat between meals, and even though I know

I should keep myself to my three meals, I snack. It is good for me

that my snacks are often a few bites of protein bar (never a whole

one for my snack) or other protein foods, or sometimes some nuts.

At least I've been gradually loosing. I do keep up my exercise,

religiously.

About exercise after surgery, the few days after I got out of the

hospital (in San Diego) I stayed in the local Sommerset Hotel and a

couple of times each day my hubby went out with me for walks down

the street to window shop. Each time, when I got back to the room,

I was tired. Even after I got home, for the first few weeks I only

exercised on my stationary bike, 15 to 20 minutes at a time. It was

at least 3 weeks before I could get through the day without a nap.

I took off 6 weeks from work.

Keep up on the water, as much as you can tolerate without hurting

and I'm sure you will do fine. Just don't let yourself get

thirsty. They say when you're thirsty, it's too late!

Take care,

Sandi H.

HI Sandi,

I still think you have done a marvelous job and it isn't everyone

that can say they have lost that much weight in a year?

I was wondering what it was going to be like once I get out a year

and if I would get so hungry between meals that I start snacking.

Especially with excercising, I used to get ravenous after workouts,

will the same happen now with my smaller pouch?

You know what you are doing, so hang in there. It will happen for

you! I had been told by Dr Baggs that the weight you lose at the

year mark should be about 80% of your goal? So that seems in line

with how you are doing?

As for the thirsty thing, I had my first dehydration spell yesterday

and it wasn't pretty. I thought I was getting in enough water, but

apparently I am not. I am over 30 oz a day, but I also walked super

far yesterday all at once, so I really over did it. I had a headache

the entire day and every time I went to stand up I was dizzy. So I

layed around for the rest of the day sipping away at my water.

I am wondering too how dehydrating those vites are that we are

taking? Seems I start to get a headache too after I get that calcium

pill down? Did you have any problems with headaches and dizzy spells?

Have a good day!

Kay
