Help with my new dehydrator?

Hi There,

I recently purchased an Excalibur dehydrator from a friend for cheap. This

friend was once a raw foodist and loaned me all these raw food books to give me

ideas on how to use the dehydrator. But it's confusing. It's too much info for

me. It is hard for me to take what I can use from a raw food book for where I'm

at in SCD.

I'd rather hear from SCD people on how they use their dehydrators and get

recipes from you all that I can actually use without having to sift through alot

of illegals. Would you mind sharing your recipes for the Excalibur including

exactly how you make yogurt with it?

Thanks so much! I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Betty

::chuckles:: raw food books were what finally made me figure out how to use my

excalibur and gave me ideas for what to make! :) The trick with raw food

recipes is just to know the replacements. Switch agave to honey, nutritional

yeast to salt...you could try substituting another seed for flax seeds but I

don't think it would work the way it's supposed to (I just stay away from those

recipes and the ones with soy unless I decide to use a fake soy). My favorite

things to make in my dehydrator are " cheezee kale chips " (made with kale, salt,

lemon juice, cashews and red pepper), macaroons (almond flour, dessicated

coconut, honey and salt) and eggplant pizzas.

As for making yogurt? When I used to make it I set the temperature, put the

soon-to-be yogurt in it and let it work for 24 hours. Simple simple :)
