Muir Glen supplies Trader Joe's with their organic tomato products. I've seen

the boxes/cases in the back at TJ's when using their restroom. The cases say

Muir Glen on them, but the labels on the cans say Trader Joe's. There's a

discount health food type store in my area that gets items from big stores or

companies that are near their pull date and sells them for really cheap. I've

seen the Muir Glen/Trader Joe's tomato sauce and whole tomatoes there too. So,

if Muir Glen whole tomatoes are safe, then Trader Joe's organic whole tomatoes

are the same thing and are safe too! Cheaper at TJ's then any health food store

too! (Except my hit and miss discount place. With my luck they'll never carry

the tomatoes again.)

This is really good news, since my supply of tomatoes from my in-laws garden is

going to dry up really soon.
