Guest guest
Gwen: I had my surgery done at mt sinai on May 4th, 2001---i went in that morning. I did not have a prep to do, other than not eat or drink after midnight. My surgery was the the first of the day at 8am & I am so glad about that. We took the train in & were actually late getting to the hospital--we didnt get there until almost 7:30am--we walked in & they said they are looking for you--everything happened very quickly--the vitals, the changing clothes, kiss goodbye for by husband & then off I walked down to the surgical suite to meet up with the anesthesiologists (multiple) & my doctor, (dr inabnet) & many other people--lots of joking around & before I knew I was in the OR. For me, & this is strictly my opinion, the less time I had pre-op in those last few hours & moments to think about it the better off I was- -stress-wise. Now, I cannot tell that I wasnt a bit nervous when our train was delayed in philadelphia, for all things..us mail. I kept thinking, if i am too late my surgery will be cancelled...as it was, they were all just ready & waiting for me instead of the other way around. Kinda weird, huh? Good luck with your surgery (when is it?) & take good care ogretta post-op (part 1) & grateful may 4, 2001 dr inabnet mt sinai In duodenalswitch@y..., gwen20852@a... wrote: > Has anyone been admitted the night before surgery at Mt Sinai (to do the > prep, etc.)?
