Hi Renae!

Drink lotsa fluids. our tummy's don't hold as much so it's

imperative to drive (sip) between meals. You can dehydrate very

quickly and the urinary tract infections are an indication of that.

I hope all is well with you otherwise!

Drinking lots of fluids is extremely important, usually cranberry juice is recommended.

There is one thing about UI's that came up in a support meeting that I attended. This woman said that she had suffered from chronic UI's before her BPD/DS. When she got one after the switch the usual medication did nothing. Her infections just got worse. She did some checking and found the medicine she was usually given was absorbed in the deuodenum. So no wonder it didn't work. Her doctor gave her something else and the infection cleared right up.

Maybe you and your friend should check if the medication you are getting is the same, absorbed in the deuodenum.
