Hi Eileen. I am allergic to yeast, and have been for many years, so I don't

use yeast in anything.

But I am still a bit confused by your mention of " yeast free SCD " since I

can't recall seeing any SCD recipes that contained yeast. For example, all

the bread recipes I have seen used baking soda for leavening.

The only SCD yeast restriction I can think of is that I can't take S.

Boulardi supplements, because they are yeasts. But I am able to take L.

Acidophilus.

Would you please explain what changes your son has made in starting on

" yeast free SCD " compared to before?

Also, what acid has he started to take?

I seem to recall that the book recommended avoiding eggs because of D at the

beginning of SCD.

I'm not sure whether any of my questions help you figure out the problem.

Yeast free SCD doesn't really refer to not eating yeast, but to not eating foods that will feed yeast in your gut, like candida. It basically limits or eliminates fruit, honey, high carb veggies, and sometimes nut products. Peace =)Alyssa 15 yoUC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds! singing more :-)and hubby says he's talking more but that it could be

improvement!!
