Hi Alli,

I had this happen periodically and I did pass out but not after a colonoscopy.

Never after a procedure..

Usually due to some of the complicated anal issues I dealt with.

All of this is in the past thank the heavens.. I do not know how I managed

through all of those times looking back..

This diet has made me a completely new person. I am so thankful to myself for

sticking with it through the most awful and challenging times. AMEN!

You bet. I had the dry heaves for an hour when I got home from my last colonscopy, and passed a lot of gas and felt dreadful for 24 hours. (Actually my body was unhappy for a week afterwards.) But what caused the problem was the trapped air.

Part of the colonoscopy procedure requires air to be inserted through the scope to improve viewing and inspection. Which means the air gets trapped within the colon and has to come out either end or both ends afterwards [grin].

Do you have any strictures in your small bowel? When I did the clean out for my

surgery, I was getting pains similar to a blockage. The stricture I was having

removed only allowed a trickle through it, causing a back up of Mirilax. The

morning of surgery, I was still having pains, and the surgeon confirmed a

Miralax backup at the stricture.

say I have UC! I never know what to think. Lower 8 inches of the colon is

enflamed and bleeding. . I'm starting the intro diet...again... here we go!

pain on the right side so that I couldn't move and was leaning really far back

to try to give it space. Then I felt like I had to go to the bathroom. I sat

down on toilet, and watched my gut vibrate as I listened to the loudest

growling, then I became very light headed thought I was going to pass out, so I

folded myself over head down by knees. Then I started to dry heave and then I

just (and I " m sorry for the graphic nature of this post) EXPLODED out my butt,

but it was like stuff that should have been out of me long before the

colonoscopy. I just wonder if somehow the colon didn't evacuate enough and then

the colonoscopy kind of forced it all to go back up into the small intestine or

something.
