Guest guest
Hi Alli, I had this happen periodically and I did pass out but not after a colonoscopy. Never after a procedure.. Usually due to some of the complicated anal issues I dealt with. All of this is in the past thank the heavens.. I do not know how I managed through all of those times looking back.. This diet has made me a completely new person. I am so thankful to myself for sticking with it through the most awful and challenging times. AMEN! Guest guest
You bet. I had the dry heaves for an hour when I got home from my last colonscopy, and passed a lot of gas and felt dreadful for 24 hours. (Actually my body was unhappy for a week afterwards.) But what caused the problem was the trapped air. Part of the colonoscopy procedure requires air to be inserted through the scope to improve viewing and inspection. Which means the air gets trapped within the colon and has to come out either end or both ends afterwards [grin]. Kim M.
