If you contact the folks on the ldn yahoo group they'll fix you right up with a doctor and or pharmacy. I've been on it 3 weeks and I think it's awesome!! My doc still hasn't called me back either, he said the first of September he would call. Glad I didn't wait for him!!

Well, after waiting 3 weeks or more for my GI to get back to me re prescribing LDN, I called earlier this week and had to leave a message on voicemail asking for him to get back to me with his decision. I knew he was waiting for an associate to get back from vacation with whom he was going to consult. No response.

So I called yesterday again and left another voicemail message. Today, his secretary calls me back and tells me that the Doctor is not going to prescribe it because it doesn't have enough evidence to back it up "for this use". She said he did look into it.

So I cheerfully and politely thanked her and hung up. I had already prepared myself for it, but I was a little unimpressed that he didn't call me himself...coward!

So, I am not going to waste anymore time with anymore doctors--I think there is a way to purchase it from an international pharmacy online and dissolve it in distilled water and make it yourself.

If anyone has any info on where to obtain it, I would greatly appreciate any help. I'm not surprised, but very disappointed in my GI.

Here are 2 that I know of: AllDayChemist.com(India) and

RiverPharmacy.com (Canada). The 50 mg tablets goes by the name Revia or Naltima

(I think – this is from memory). Someone can correct me on the names. 50

mg. tablets.

Dilute 1- 50 mg. Naltrexone in 50 ml. distilled water. Shake

until well mixed. Store in fridge. Throw out after 1 month. It is reported to

taste bitter.

Here are directions from an LDN Yahoo Group: Re:

questions about dosage

There are many here who make their own homemade liquid LDN using Naltrexone

tablets. They actually prefer it to capsules. I make it for my girlfriend who

takes it for a thyroid condition. I get my LDN from Skip's Pharmacy.

HOMEMADE LOW DOSE NALTREXONE

Liquid LDN (Easiest): Acquire some ml measuring equipment from the baby section

of a Drug Store and a small bottle with a screw-on cap. Put 50ml of water

(distilled is best) and one 50mg " ReVia " Naltrexone tablet in the

small bottle and let it dissolve with a little time and shaking. Now each ml of

water in that small bottle contains 1 mg of Naltrexone. At bedtime shake the

bottle, take a desired dose (no more than 4.5ml), chase it down with some water

and store the small bottle in the refrigerator.

I would like to thank everyone who emailed me off list to supply me with info. I really appreciated it.

I was all set to order droppers, Naltrexone, graduated cylinders and the like and went to bed with my head swimming with all the things I had to do to get this going.

As I fell asleep, I had an idea. I called Skip's Pharmacy the next morning and asked if my dentist could prescribe the LDN. The pharmacist yes. So, my associate that I have shared an office with for 21 years ( and my dentist) wrote the script for me which I faxed off and I should be receiving it in a few days!

So excited.

Can't wait to have that colonoscopy next year after a year of LDN and SCD and see my GI try to explain away the good results.
