One possibility is that your iron is high because you're burning your storage of it. Also, never trust a statement that " Oh, everything's fine " when it comes to labs. Get copies yourself, and look for any numbers that are falling. It is MUCH easier to keep numbers up than it is to bring them back up after you've used up your reserves, and sometimes it can't be done. Sometimes it can result in permanent painful damage.
