Guest guest
I was brought to this website by a dear friend. My 17 year old daughter was diagnosed with Crohns in June. She is on a boat load of meds. . . so impressed with the progress my friend has made following this program and so hopeful to avoid a lot of meds and further medical complications. We go to the dr on monday and will let her know we will be starting the diet, I am going to follow the diet with her for moral support and to keep illegals out of the house, at least initially. She is a senior so we have one year until she goes to college, so the posts on living SCD on campus were helpful. Just curious if any of you were found to be lactose intolerant and still were able to eat the yogurt and some of the legal cheeses. Her disease was found in her lower esophagus and portion of her stomach which digest dairy. Hope the yogurt turns out. . . ordered the almond flour last night. Need to learn to cook all over again! Guest guest
Just wanted to warn you guys to proceed very slowly with the nut flour Also the yogurt can cause some die off- so slowly and methodically is the way to try it like 1/4 teaspoon see how it works if no symptoms- try a bit more the next day.. Moral support is fantastic! Did you guys do the intro diet? I would suggest she do this; http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/beginners_guide/the_intro_diet2.htm http://pecanbread.com/p/how/introdiet.html Jodi > > Hope the yogurt turns out. . . ordered the almond flour last night.
