Plam oil is a stable, long lasting fat - with a long shelf life,

right?

I think I read that somewhere but can't find it now and just

want confirmation before I use it to cook with.

Plam oil is a stable, long lasting fat - with a long shelf life, right?I think so. They use it in chocolate and stuff. All I can recall about it is it being a cheap, long lasting oil that isn't very good for you. Although that might all be different on SCD, since it has a whole different view on what's good for you. All I can recall about it is it being a cheap, long lasting oil that isn't very goo! d for you. that's hydrogenated palm oil that's terrible for you. pure palm oil is supposed to be good for you.plus, like coconut it's supposed to have an anti-microbial effect. LOL. Not spectrum - tropical traditions.

Snort - I took advantage of some sale or huge discount

and got a huge bottle of it.

I think a year or so - maybe less.

It is nearish the stove area.

Mara,

I didn't even know TT sells it.

That's the problem with sales LOL.

Generally palm oil should be super stable but I am going to defer comment on

this one as I don't like leaving any oils for eating around for a year.

But as you know with me I am on the very careful spectrum when it comes to this

stuff.

I'm sure you know you shouldn't keep oils near anything that gets heated, humid

or sunlight.

I know, means more schlep to cooking station.

One day kitchens will be designed with these quirks in mind.

I think a year or so - maybe less.Seems like you could smell if it was bad. Rancid oils and things always smell, right? Pour Dieu, pour terre,Alyssa 15UC April 2008, diagnosed Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds =)
