Guest guest
.. It's pretty amazing how LDN and SCD work together synergistically! I think that is why the SCD'ers that are trying LDN have so much success. I think LDN really shows how Yeast issues are a huge culprit with modern day living/eating etc. Both LDN and SCD beautifully address this. I'm kind of waiting for LDN to just rock the GI world. They are doing studies around the world, so unlike SCD they may pay attention to this! It will be a good day when this reaches mainstream critical mass. I am, and I know quite a few people are, but I haven't (yet) entered any info into the LDN database. On the yahoo LDN list a lot of people talk about not eating grains, sugars, etc. So there seem to be a number of people also on at very least a modified SCD as well. (Last night I took less than half the LDN I normally take because I felt -- for various reasons -- that it might be accumulating in my tissues. However, I had a terrible night. Hardly slept, and today I feel achy, my asthma is worse; can't tell if it did anything to my gut in one night. I'll go back to the regular dose tonight.) n

Guest guest
n, What made you thought it was accumulating in your tissues? Just curious... Do you have CD? And what dose are you taking? I'm trying to decide if I should try increasing from 3mg. That happened to me, and to some others, but apparently it a effects a minoriay of people. I think of LDN more as a supplement that initiates the process of getting your body to produce more endorphins (and endorphin receptors), and thus to help heal the immune system. It has numerous positive effects on quite a range of conditions. And it definitely is not addicting. n

I'm generally drug sensitive to virtually all drugs, and even to some supplements. I need a smaller dose than is " average " or " normal. " There's been a lot of discussion on the LDN list about how different people react differently to different doses, though 4.5 mg is the usual dose. That also depends on one's weight -- and I weigh 40 pounds less than I did before the started the SCD, and am now quite thin. I felt some irritability, agitation during the day -- as if my opioid receptors were still somewhat blocked and I wasn't getting the benefit of the new/additional endorphins. I've lowered my dose by .5 mg before and that worked well. But going down by more than half of the full 4.5 mg obviously didn't work well for me. I worked up from starting at 1.5 mg and that graudal increase worked very well for me. I'm now quite sure that for me, despite my drug sensitivity, 3 mg would not be enough to have enough of a beneficial effect. If you increase by .5 mg every week or two you should be able to tell what kind of difference it' making. n
Guest guest
I’ve been on LDN (cream) for nearly 3 months. I love this drug. This is the best I have ever felt – it is so nice to have endorphins! My dose level is 3 mg as I only weigh 95 lbs. I started out at 1.5 mg and worked the dose level up by .5 mg til I got to 3 mg. I’ll be the first to say I dislike pharmaceuticals, but LDN is the exception. Wish I had known about it years ago! So glad to hear it is helping you. Guest guest
WOW AGAIN! This dialog is great. Just think...if one sees enough to try LDN and improves like some of us are. Yes, ya'll are makin my day. I'll try to answer. I take 4.5 mg at 9 every night. I pay less than $1 / Day. Questions about Gerd, go to lowdosenaltrxone.org or the yahoo group specializing in LDN. But get the questions answered and get better. Someone kind of squelched posts about LDN because of the group specific for LDN. I am now on that list but it is made up of folks with lots of different ailments. I have read at length my digest that I get and no mention of Crohn's, Colitis or IBD. Here we can dialog with folks we have a disease in common with. Please don't fuss about the LDN post as we are very positive about helping this group. Guest guest
, I too am fine with LDN being discussed here some, as we know it's folks that are also doing SCD. That being said, there is a group specific to IBD and LDN that I think is called LDNandIBD. I belong to that group, too - but not all of them are doing SCD to a 'T.'
