Guest guest
Becki, I think that's because the Actigal also absorbs some of the fat from what I understand. So, ppl are losing less because of the absorption caused by the Actigal, but they have less frequent, less odorous and more solid BM's since not as much fat is being passed. Someone else may have a more accurate info, but that's how it works to my understanding Anita Pre-pre-op in Denver > > Hi all. Guest guest
I heard on another list (or was it this one) that actigall causes you to absorb a lot more more fat and can almost completely " negate " the malabsorptive effect of this surgery. One woman was on actigall for over a year and it was finally discovered the reason she was not losing weight was because of the actigall. This process can be so complicated. -Sherry (Lake Marcel, WA) BPD/DS Feb. 2, 2001 self-pay 5'5 " / 338 pounds / 33 years old Lost 9 pounds in pre-op weight loss efforts Have lost 73 pounds since surgery!
