Guest guest
Cabbage seems to have a reputation of healing ulcers, and since my colon liked it very much at my AK appointment, I've introduced it. But I need some ideas of how to cook it. Anyone have favorite recipes? Peace =) Alyssa 15 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008 SCD June 2009 (restarted) No meds! Guest guest
I love cabbage in vegetable soup. It's also great just sauted with onion, salt and pepper. Very easy and I think it's yummy. And I know there has to be a cole slaw recipe out there somewhere, but I don't have a good one. And then there's stuffed cabbage. My mom never had the patience for rolling up the meat in the cabbage. So she used to make meatballs and just cook the cabbage in the sauce. It was yummy! Hmm...can't wait till DH can have cabbage so that I can try that. Guest guest
I'm not a cabbage person, which makes me an oddball because the rest of my family digs runzas (cabbage burgers). You could skip the breading and just do the ground beef and cabbage. I have four recipes, which are all good, depending on the kind of cole slaw you like. Guest guest
Red cabbage, finely sliced, boiled with grated apples until soft and eaten as a side dish, you can add herbs if you like but just as is this dish is yummy. Guest guest
We make stuffed cubbage with anything; meat, carrots, mashroom. I always add different ingredients.. If you need more specific, let me know. Also is I am tool lazy to stuff it, I just layer it in the pot; say with meat and then make a sauce with tomato paste/ tomato anything and let it cook for an hour - very tasty. Good Luck, Cabbage seems to have a reputation of healing ulcers, and since my colon liked it very much at my AK appointment, I've introduced it. But I need some ideas of how to cook it.
