Have you tried DairyCare ? It has active acidophilus plus lactaid.

I'm pre-pre-op and I just started taking it and it's also helped me

pre-op. Others also take non-dairy acidophilus from GNC. Sometimes

it's hard to see the correlation because we get symptoms long after

we've had something with dairy, but I can say it's helped me

immensely, even though I'm pre-op!! There are also odor neutralizers

like Ozium that you can get in the car care section of places like

Walmart if you want something for after the fact :)

It would be very helpful if you would tell us what you have already tried.

Hey there gassy, Sorry I just could not resist. Yes we or

some of us do have GAS. Too bad we can't burn it in our heaters at

home. Wouldn't we save a tun of money on the heat bills. Oh well.

I have had some problems with gas as well. I was told to cut out

all dairy for one week. That really cured me. Also to stop taking

in anything with artificial sweeteners. Both dairy products (even

the tiniest portions) and artificial sweetened soft drinks will give

me tremendous gas. I take gas relief, safeway's comparative to Gas-X

[simethicone 125mg] and it helps a lot. But most of all is to watch

carefully what you eat. It is something you are eating that is

causing the gas. When you figure that out, you will be better. I

guess it takes our new system a bit of time to get to what ever is to

be normal after our surgery.

Every time you fart, jsut know that all of California could use some

GAS.

Hey!

Thanks for the info. So basically what your saying is its something

that I am eating.

I have stopped eating bread and that has seemed to help some. Oh and

peanut butter. I think that caused lots too.

Then I begin to wonder if it was that in the first place or something

else. But I am not ready to try them again and see if it was that or

not. I don't need anymore gas than I already have. :)

I have found that taking beano after eating something with carbs has

helped me some.

Thanks again! Good luck to YOU!!!
