Guest guest
For future reference, you can google this yourself, just likeI just did. I plugged in pounds to cups in google and the first item on the top site wasfor almonds:http://www.angelfire.com/bc/incredible/weightmeasure.html FOOD WEIGHT YIELD Almonds, blanched…………………………..1 pound………………1 1/2 cups 3/4 cupsMaraI'm sorry if I'm posting this twice, but I am not sure if my other message went through, so I'm trying again. I'm trying to make a birthday cake (right now!!) and I'm making the lemon cake from scdrecipe. it calls for 1/2 pound of almond flour. How much is that in cups?? Thanks in advance! Guest guest
Thank you Mara. I did google it myself, of course, before coming to post here. And I found that exact same link that you did. But I was unsure if that would be the same because it says " Almonds, blanched " , which I was assuming meant whole almonds. I would think that whole almonds would be a different measure than almond flour. I read in a few different places people asking " how much almond flour does a pound of almonds make? " And I found answers varying from 3.5 cups, to 4 cups, to 4.5 cups. Some of the answers were non-specific to almond flour, they were just people reporting a general cups to pounds conversion. But this is still a different question than how many cups would a pound of almond flour be. Since I don't have a scale, I thought I'd come and see if anyone here had that knowledge. Maybe someone had made the cake before. If there isn't anyone who knows, I think I will just experiment with 4 cups and wish for the best! It's my child's birthday, so hopefully it will be a success! > > > > > > > I'm sorry if I'm posting this twice, but I am not sure if my other > > message went through, so I'm trying again.
