Betty, did you have the reading?? How did it go?

Hello all

Just wanted to say a hello and to let everyone know I have been in Florida

on holidays and just returned to find my mailbox overflowing so before I go

through all of my emails I just wanted to say I'm back and hope everyone is

better to those who haven't been well. I had a relatively good time...it

sure was hard to go knowing our Danny wouldn't be with us. I also wanted to

say to those who have asked...my older son is being tested for VEDS on May

21st...they will extract the DNA here in Canada and then send it to Seattle.

Hopefully it won't take to long. Thats my next big worry. When I returned to

our house yesterday, my friend who was looking after our place told me there

were a bouquet of roses on my porch. I read the card: For Betty....in loving

memory of Danny, Happy Mothers Day. It was not signed. I found it very

touching and of course it did make me cry, but it made me also happy to know

there are still lots of caring & thoughful people out there. I survived our

first vacation after our son's death & being diagnosed with VEDS. I have to

say I was a little nervous to do things, as we took in alot of things such

as Disney World, Universal, Kennedy Space Center...just to name a few. After

my initial fears I just trusted my faith and said whatever will be will be

and proceeded to try and have a good time with my husband and other son. I

will write again later because as always I have a few questions I know

someone will be able to help.

Thanks for listening.

Welcome home! !

So glad to hear you were able to face your fears re activity etc. I

suspect you have made a big step. Congratulations! Sometimes these

fears of what might happen can loom so large and prevent us from

participating in the life we do have.

I have always found a holiday, even an overnight of pleasant day out so

very helpful in facing the challenges of another day. I can be too easy

to allow the fear to overwhelm one particularly when each day can

sometimes bring an unknown.

Ok, great! I have an interesting article I would like to scan and send to

you if you're interested. It's regarding at least 4 different mediums.

Would you like to see it?

Hi all! I'm back from my very relaxing vacation to the Oregon and

Washington Coast. First of all, I have to say that my plane ride was

an absolute joy! I sat in the middle seat (because my son wanted the

window) and my hips (and other parts of me) did not even hang over

into the soul sitting next to me on the other side. Woo-hoo!

We all also went horseback riding on the beach while in Long Beach,

WA. The kids had a great time but I think I had the best time of

all. I didn't even feel too sorry for Brassy (my horse and new Mom).

I could of ridden all day, although my hind quarters where killing

me the next day.

I was quite disappointed when I got on the scale today and after 10

days of no weighing, I was only down 1 pound. How the heck is that

possible?!?!? Yes...I was on vacation and I may have eaten a tiny

bit more but actually I'd say I probably ate less because I was out

of my routine. I brought my protein shakes with me and I had one for

breakfast every morning (like I normally do) and then I had small

bits for lunch and for dinner. Hmmmm....very disappointing. I have

been on a 5 pound weight loss per week average since surgery. Boo-

hoo!

In 10 days, there were lots of posts so....I don't think I'll get

through all of them. If I missed any new members...WELCOME. If I

missed surgery dates...CONGRATULATIONS. If I missed anyone's

heartache and sorrow...MY HEART AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

-84 since orientation
