Guest guest
Dear , As a guide, here are the following basic measures of protein grams: (The nutritionist at Dr. Ren's, Barrie Wolfe, gave me these guidelines): 1 oz. of meat, chicken or fish = 7 grams protein 1 cup of milk = 8 grams of protein 1 cup of skim plus = 11 grams of protein 2 eggs with 1 oz. cheese = 21 grams of protein 2 tblsp. peanut butter= 8 grams protein The deck of cards rule for the animal proteins is good since a deck of cards= 3-4 ounces depending on your " eye " . Good Luck, Jane J. > To the post-ops, I am curious to how much protein you need in a daily basis, > I think I read that it was 60 grams, but I am wondering just to get an idea, > I don't have a book to go by...(yet)...LOL But say for example if you were > eating it all in food, and no supplement, how much quantity would you have > to take in, just using a variety of everyday types of foods, > > eggs > chicken > beef > peanut butter.....etc. > > in Pa.
