Guest guest
Sherry- That is an amazing story. Personally I am glad you are losing but to not have gotten your surgeon. I would have a hard time paying for that and I would fight it. That is just me. I have aa 100cm and I am not unhappy about it because I believe that absorption is better with 100cm. I know that I am losing a little slower than some but I am losing. I think 60 pounds in 2 months is fabulous. I certainly could never have done that without surgery. You are on your way and try to be positive. I know that you will just do greta. Back to the Drs. That is very upsetiing. I wish you luck. Guest guest
Dear Sherry: My starting weight was 384 pounds and I have lost 224 pounds and now am at 160-165 pounds. My common channel is 100cm so losing all your weight is possible just keep those sugars low and eat those carbs last, protein first and always and plenty of water I also have always eaten a lot of fats and I have very few problems with gas or oil slicks. Guest guest
Congratulations on your wonderful weight loss and thank you SO MUCH for replying. I've been dying to hear from someone who was closer to my starting weight ( was 411 on the day of my surgery ) who lost all the way down to the mid 100s with a 100cm common channel. I always eat my protein first and carbs last and avoid sugar in liquid form i.e. pop, juice, ice cream, etc. That gives me hope - thanks again!!! -Sherry (Lake Marcel, WA) BPD/DS Feb. 2, 2001 self-pay 5'5 " / 359 pounds / 33 years old Lost 9 pounds in pre-op weight loss efforts Have lost 52 pounds since surgery!
