Guest guest Posted June 20, 2005 Report Share Posted June 20, 2005 Hi Maggie (and anyone else wondering about where to purchase masks for CPAP), If your Kaiser plan covers DME (Durable Medical Equipment), Apria can be a good choice. My plan, however, does *not* cover DME (I'm self-employed and have an individual Kaiser plan instead of a group plan). I have found that to purchase a mask I don't need a prescription. I always get my masks from: www.cpaponline.com When I tried to purchase a mask from Apria (Kaiser's supplier) they quoted me a " Kaiser Discount " price that was twice what the same mask cost me from CPAP Online. And CPAP Online's customer service is GREAT, shipping is fast and cheap, and they provide a lot of support. I have ordered from this company for six years, and really trust them. I use their " ComfortGel Mask with Headgear " (Respironics) - $64.99, and I love it. Best of all, it has replaceable parts, so I don't have to keep buying a new mask everytime parts wear out.
