Hi Maggie (and anyone else wondering about where to purchase masks for

CPAP),

If your Kaiser plan covers DME (Durable Medical Equipment), Apria can be a

good choice. My plan, however, does *not* cover DME (I'm self-employed and

have an individual Kaiser plan instead of a group plan). I have found that

to purchase a mask I don't need a prescription. I always get my masks from:

www.cpaponline.com

When I tried to purchase a mask from Apria (Kaiser's supplier) they quoted

me a " Kaiser Discount " price that was twice what the same mask cost me from

CPAP Online. And CPAP Online's customer service is GREAT, shipping is fast

and cheap, and they provide a lot of support. I have ordered from this

company for six years, and really trust them. I use their " ComfortGel Mask

with Headgear " (Respironics) - $64.99, and I love it. Best of all, it has

replaceable parts, so I don't have to keep buying a new mask everytime parts

wear out.

Hope this helps,

Laurie W.

Hi Laurie,

Thanks so much! I needed this information so badly! All of a sudden

my mask fell apart and while it looks like I should be able to put

the silicon part back on the base, we just can't do it... Besides it

was hella uncomfortable! So it was meant for me to get a new one. I

will check out my options today, I am part of a group plan but have

no idea what't included. Thanks again!
