I also just came back for a 4 day road trip visiting family. I brought my car

cooler- that plugs into the cigarette lighter with an adapter for the wall plug.

For days before I was a cooking maniac making yogurt and also frozen meals. I

kept the frozen meals and soup in another cooler packed in the car, and the

hotel had a fridge + microwave. (important detail with SCD) in the room. One

night we went out to a fish restaurant, and I was able to have baked fish and

vegetables cooked plain for me.

It went really well. It feels really normal now, and SCD is becoming a habit. My

family is really starting to like SCD foods- I usually make other side dishes

for them. More important is how I feel, thank goodness. It is really worth it.
