Guest guest
Alli, I don't know how long you have been on SCD, but the cashew ice cream is really rich, and cashews are starchy. I can tolerate a spoonful or two of the butter, but a whole bowl, wow. The good part is that you splurged on something legal! and I bet it was good. Maybe a little bit next time Hope you feel better. Guest guest
I've only been on SCD for about a month, and imperfectly I'm afraid. I had about a cup of the froz yogurt. It was made of 2 cups dripped scd yog, 1/3 cup cashew butter, 1/3 cup honey. I just think it was way too intense for me. It was a lethal legal! Alli 1994 - CD 1998 - 6 months of SCD, sulfasalazine, enemas no meds and few symptoms for eight years 2009 - UC (now they say). Restarted SCD > > > > I started Rowasa enemas three days ago and was SO excited when i immediately saw results! Uh, yeah -- I did something like that with some honey toffee. I think we all make mistakes like that. Guest guest
Thanks for answering, Alli! I did the diet for about 6 months in 1998 when I had my first bad flare. After it subsided I went off the diet. AT that time I wasn't aware of this online forum, if it even existed, so I was just winging it with the book. For eight years I only had mild symptoms until now. I think I just got lucky.
