S. Boullardi or almond flour causing problems?

Hi All!

I have been on SCD for 7 weeks and have been adding foods slowly with no

problems at all. I decided to try almond flour (Honeyville). So late last week

I made muffins and intended on just eating one but they were so good, I ended up

eating 3. I felt fine, no symptons. Two days later I ate 3 pancakes made with

almond flour and was fine. The next day i started 1 capsule of S. boullardi. The

following day I had 2 more almond flour pancakes and experienced terrible

indigestion just after about 5 bites. Two days later I ate 2 more almond flour

pancakes and had just a bit of indigestion shortly after eating. Can

indigestion be caused by the S. boullardi or does it sound like i cannot

tolerate almond flour. All other foods that I have been eating I have

experienced no problems whatsoever so I'm a little confused by the indigestion

feeling. Indigestion was never one of my symptons, my diagnosis is Crohn's, LGS

& high levels of candida. Can anyone share some of their thoughts about this

situation?

Thanks,

Holly O.

I know that when I started the boulardii, I had a pretty strong reaction

to it, and had to back off on how much I was using.

As far as the almond flour, well, remember that Elaine always said to

start with half a muffin, not three. (They ARE good, though, and it's

sooo hard not to keep munching....)

Although we normally test over a few days, it's sometimes worthwhile to

be on an even keel and not have introduced anything new when introducing

a new probiotic like the boulardii. Especially since boulardii is

anti-candida.
