Guest guest
Becki, I am using Walter to fight my ins co. He has sent my appeal in and it was 27 pages long. Call him!! Get his number from his website and call and leave a message for him to call you back. Explain to him that you need the forms etc and haven't gotten a response from him or recieved the packet in the mail. Also ask him if he got your request from the email. He might have never gotten he email request. Long story/short. Just call him. I was frustated at first because I didn't know what to expect, but now that I have recieved the appeal letter, all I can say is " WOW,and IT SURE LOOKS LIKE HE KNOWS HIS STUFF " . Good luck, preop retained Walter to fight ins co body to be designed by Hess Remember it all started with a mouse. -Walt Disney- vvanb@... Guest guest
It is better to hire Walter before an appeal rather than do the appeal yourself and then hire him to appeal your appeal. You can unwittingly narrow your chances of having surgery paid for by how you do your first appeal. This has been discussed on this list previously. I'm sure its much easier but there is no way I can afford an attorney...Not to mention I emailed him a few times with no response. If I do go the attorney route, I decided I would wait and do it for my second appeal. I felt the way my denial was worded, it was that enough information was not sent in (thanks to my EX PCP ) so I'm getting all the documentation I can find. I have several copies of very well written appeals which I am going thru and using to help me write my appeal. I also have found out the criteria they require for my insurance company and have made sure I've addressed all points concerned, including the things they say have to be evident. I feel pretty confident. Thanks for the advice.! ~~* AJ *~~ BMI 58 NW Washington Medical DR Heap, Richmond WA Working on 1st appeal
