I can't seem to find a protein bar or shake that I can handle. They

all have such a nasty aftertaste. What I have been doing each day is

mixing the follwing ingredients to get some extra protein in.

1/2 C. Cottage cheese......13 grams protein

1 Container yogurt.......8 grams protein

1 Banana

Splash of milk......2 grams (or so)

I pulvarize this in the blender and then stick it in the freezer to

get it really cold. It tastes much better than any protein shake

I've tried. You can also use frozen fruit instead of a banana. This

gives me 23 extra grams of protein each day and no nasty taste in my

mouth!

chocolate almond fudge (I can't remember who made the last two bars,

but they were recommended ones) and they all tasted DISGUSTING!!!

I've heard on AMOS and many other lists that Carb Solutions is one of

the best ones out there and tastes great, etc, but they all had this

same horrible aftertaste! Are you guys just not saying the last part,

ie " It tastes great (FOR A PROTEIN BAR) " ? I could not get rid of

the taste in my mouth and I only tried one bite of each one. Is it

something you get used to ? I don't know if I want to get used to

that, I'd rather have chicken!! *grins* Do protein shakes taste

better or do they have that same gross aftertaste ? I was thinking of

supplementing at least a little (ie, 1 bar or one drink a day, but I

don't think I can stomach it if it leaves that aftertaste afterwards..
