Thanks Misty :-). I've found good sources for honey through local harvest, but

not for meat. There are some nice looking farms in my state (Arizona), but the

prices are just more than I can afford. I keep tabs on a co-op (they have a

yahoo group) that is somewhat in my area, but their milk/eggs/meat prices don't

even touch what I pay at the grocery store (I buy the bulk of my food when it's

on special). I do buy a really delicious pastured butter at Trader Joe's though.

For some reason, they always have it reasonably priced.

When I bought some honey at a not-very-close farmer's market, my mom went gaga

for some of the produce there. They had some really nice kale that was different

than what is in the store. It would great to be able to shop at a place like

that all the time!

can't afford to compound my meds, which have things like lactose, starch, and

sugar in them. I doubt I'm alone in this. Regardless, I seem to be progressing

okay. I imagine this is the case for most people, since Elaine didn't make them

requirements for SCD. It would price a lot of people right out of the diet!

burger I've ever eaten!
