Guest guest
I took yogurt/banana shakes in a coffee thermos in the morning.-UC - 1 yearSCD - 3.5 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 4 pills 3 times a day - hopefully scd will help me get off these! No more Hydrocortisone or Prednisone! To: BTVC-SCD From: smdsmom2008@...Date: Thu, 27 Aug 2009 22:30:49 +0000Subject: Re: Stage 1 food ideas I am so sorry I know you hate meds, but is it possible that since you are starting out on SCD, there is something that will help? I'm thinking along the lines of sulfasalazine, Lialda, the ones that others have mentioned would help but are not as "bad" as the big guns. Hopefully something that will get you further along enough to bring things to school. Stewed apples, chicken soup with chicken in a thermos are good. I made the "'s Muffin" recipe off pecanbread.com with pecan butter instead of the flour- which would make it more stage 2. My daughter (age 14 )likes them in her lunches at school (she can eat anything but she likes mine ), so maybe these would work for you as something to eat in class. Maybe some of the breads on pecan bread stage one, or pancakes would be solid enough to hold tuna or chicken salad with SCD mayo. If you can tolerate nut butter brownies that would work too. There' always hard boiled eggs and cheese. Hope you feel better, PJ > > I'm back to stage one, since my D is back in all it's glory. I need > ideas for foods, different ways to cook them, etc... Guest guest
I took yogurt/banana shakes in a coffee thermos in the morning.Oh!! A shake! What a good idea! I can drink it instead of eating some squishy, bizzare looking muffin during class =) Anyone have ideas for yummy shakes, stage 1/ early stage 2? I am currently doing banana, yogurt, honey, and almond butter shakes. I want variety though so I don't get bored.
