I'm always intimidated by an appliance till I figure out how to use it. Do you soak the veggies in something first? I'm really interested in the meat recipes too. I just keep looking at the huge box and knowing I can do alot with it but scared to start! Well, I can understand that. I never had a food processor until one showed up on my doorstep just in time for my birthday, and the darn thing has been driving me absolutely crazy! I'm sure it'll be useful once I get the hang of it, because there are some things it does very well. (It's said that it takes sixty hours of repetition to fully master a new technique.) Here's to mastery! I'll see about digging out some of my recipes. For the veggies and the fruits... I just peel them and slice them and lay them out on the trays and dry. You'll read loads of stuff about soaking them in this, that or th' other thing. I've never bothered: I know my apple slices will turn up cream-colored instead of pristine and white, and I don't care. <grin> I hope you've at least taken it out of the shipping box and set it up! — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
