I didn't get an exact location of this problem but of course, it was in conjunction with the WLS. >> Oh, wow - thanks for updating us, Gobo. How terrible! I'm so glad to hear that made it through ok... This is such a SERIOUS situation. Perhaps the netting was a result of some kind of hernia repair? I'm not sure, either! That's crazy about ignoring the side/neck pain. I thought that sharp shoulder pain, etc. was a sign of possible leak... ouch! I wish the best for a smooth recovery (this time around). all the best,

I am so glad they finally did something for her! I was concerned the first time I heard she was not getting a good response from her surgeons office. I nearly posted then I thought she should get to an ER, persistent pain post surgery is something to be concerned about. I am with you on how lousy HMO's are to put people in such untenable positions-- it is almost better to be uninsured in an emergency-- in LA the county HAS to provide you care even if you are homeless and flat broke. The netting you spoke of is probably to prevent herniation-- Please keep us posted on her progress! Let her family know we are sending her our best. Guest guest
When you do get to talk to again, tell her she is in my thoughts and I hope for a speedy recovery for her. As a newly postop, I wonder about the pains I am having as well. Sometimes when I walk I feel a twitch here or there and wonder. Thank you for the update. It heeds as a warning to all to be conscious of your pain! BPS/DS 4/12/

Guest guest
Thank you Gobo for being there with our and for all of us who can not be. Your posts are full of the details we crave as one of our own is in trouble. Prayers will be sent from Texas. She was so frightened before surgery and now this has happened! no and Gloria and her children must be so scared. I'm glad the doctors seem to have found the problem finally and apparently 'fixed' it and am also glad she will still have her switch she went through all this to get. Now as long as she heals with no more complications......
