Guest guest
i am researching for revision surgery from a prior horizontal stomach stapling back in 1984. from everything i've read, i'm wondering if i am a candidate for ds surgert? i am 100 lbs overweight max. i was 268 before i had surgery in 1984, i lost down to 180, and now i have slowly gained back up to yo yoing between 235-250 / with a lot of dieting. it is getting harder to keep my weight down to even that. but it seems that most people with the ds have a lot more to lose, but they also seem to have the best success in keeping weight off. i don't want to make the same mistake twice. is there a surgery that is somewhat of a compromise between the ds and the rny? thanks for any input. patti meadows e-mail: philpatti@...
