Guest guest
Hello, I found information on 2 raw foodist websites concerning raw nuts. They both say that raw cashews have the less fat and are easiest to digest and pecans are the fattiest and the most difficult to digest. I was under the impression it was the opposite. So I gave it a try as I have difficulty digesting nuts. I made muffins with half and half cashew and walnut flour. I had no difficulty at all digesting them. No heartburn, no chronic C. Yipee!!!) Also, respecting my own body's rhythms and working with my own enzymes is really helping me! I feel so much better. I have regular BMs now and no heartburn. I even sleep better too and have more energy. I see a light at the end of the tunnel....finally! GERDS and chronic C. SCD 18 mths

Cashews have a much higher percentage of carbs than pecans. Most people consider lots of carbs great and significant fat bad. So I gave it a try as I have difficulty digesting nuts. I made muffins with half and half cashew and walnut flour. I had no difficulty at all digesting them. No heartburn, no chronic C. Yipee!!!) I believe one of the people at Digestive Wellness found she did better with cashews, also. For me, cashews are a once-in-awhile treat. And pecans are a staple. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Kim, Alyssa, It's what I was explaining last week. If you follow the way your body's own enzymes work, you digest alot better and feel better too. For example, start with fruit in the morning first thing; wait at least 30 min. before having protein. The peak time for digestion is at lunch so this should be your bigger meal. After that, your body starts slowing down. So, your raw vegetables (if you can tolerate them) should be taken at lunch and your cooked ones, at supper time. You shouldn't eat past 8:00pm... If you are interested in the entire article, let me know offline and I'll send it to you. Cheers, GERDS and chronic C. > > > > Hello, > > I found information on 2 raw foodist websites concerning raw nuts. Again, this is a question of everyone is different. If I started with a bowl of fruit, or even a glass of diluted fruit juice and then waited 30 minutes, I'd be falling over with nausea and a headache. For me, any carb source has to be accompanied by fats and protein. However, what you're doing obviously works for you. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

Guest guest
Thanks Marilyn, I am aware that what works for me doesn't work for everyone. I just wanted to share in case it would help someone else out there:o) > >For example, start with fruit in the morning > >first thing; wait at least 30 min. before having protein. > > Again, this is a question of everyone is > different.
