Guest guest
Good to see you are doing so well Maggie! Sounds like you aren't nearly as exhausted as I am. It has been better since I started eating salmon the last two days. Are you getting some exercise in? I find that I am so exhausted it is hard to do right now. I have to force myself at this point. Before I lept and bound out the door. This is so weird. Isn't it fun to get into your old clothes again? Wait till you clean out your closet! Guest guest
OH! A tip for you , when you have done your walk and sit back down, don't be alarmed if you get really light headed when you stand back up again. I have had this happen now quite a few times and Dr Baggs told me it has to do with the weight we are losing in our legs and the blood pools there. SO just move your legs a bit before you get up and get up slowly and no dizziness shall occur. :-) Learning as I go here! Sounds like you are doing great yourself! Small walks is all that you need to do at this point. Don't forget to get pampered. I felt like royalty all the waiting on I was getting. he he OH and I am a side sleeper as well and I felt so much better once I could sleep that way. You are right it is the little things.... Guest guest
Hi Kay & , I was getting very tired too that first week, I would walk around the block ( 1/4 of a mile) walk upstairs and collapse on my bed. Last night, we walked around the block, I came upstairs and I wasn't even huffing and puffing. The last part of the block is all uphill and the difference is amazing. So just take it easy and your stregth will return. I have been sleeping on my side since the hospital, when my back was hurting, which is unusual since I never have had back problems. But, I could only sleep on my right side...it hurt to sleep on my left side. Last night I was able to sleep on my left side, so everything's just ducky! Hope you both feel super soon! Guest guest
Hey Kay, the dizziness thing you mentioned....well, I experienced that and on some occassions, I still experience that. I thought it was my equalibrium being off (along with the weight loss). I would notice it mainly first thing in the morning when I got up. I learned real fast to just sit up on the side of the bed before I stood. That usually helped but there were days when I would do that and then still stand and would just about fall down because I could not get my bearings. I have my six month post op apt. on August 11th and so I will mention that to Dr. Baggs or Dr. Park whomever is there. I just ignored it and chalked it up to being the weight loss thingie. I am sure I did not offer any help and I do apologize.
