Guest guest
Dear Everyone- I need advice! I'm scheduled for surgery with Dr Pomp in Mt Sinai on 5/30. I had all the pre-pre-op stuff done and insurance is ok. I think everything is ok, anyway. At this point it's hard to tell. Now I need to schedule pre-op stuff and medical clearance which I want done at Mt Sinai. I have called Gordon and Gee and left numerous messages. I have also asked the front desk to page them. I have faxed messages. I cannot get a response. Part of the problem, which I've stated to them, is that my husband and I cannot go round trip in one day. This involves sleepover arrangements which can be difficult at the last minute. This is also making me terrifically anxious. What happens if I have a question after discharge? What will I do. Is this lack of response typical? I'm trying not to think about that now, though. Right now I'm just trying to get surgery squared away. Any ideas from you great folks out there? Many thanks. n n Boden (maboden@...) _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/

Guest guest
I always have a hard time getting through to anyone at Mt. Sinai. They called me about 2 weeks before my surgery to set up the pre-op for me. I had the pre-op on a Friday and the surgery on the following Thursday. Just keep on trying to get through. It is very frustrating, I know!!! I've been there! Jill K in NY __________________________________________________

Guest guest
n: I have not had that experience yet with the group @ mt sinai- -i am not sure why, though after reading all the posts about it...what I did encounter was that just a little over a week from surgery my paperwork still had not been submitted to my insurance company----SO, here is what I did---I emailed my doctor, dr inabnet-- who also works with Gordon & Dianna Gee--I sent him an email at about 4:30pm edt & by 5:30 pm, he had responded that he would check on my chart the following morning--the following day--i got an email from Dianna Gee bright and early --as well as a couple of telephone calls--then wouldnt you know it--by early afternoon I got the call from Darryl the insurance guy advising me that I had been approved & then Gordon got on the phone & asked if I could up my surgery date by a week--this was all on may 2nd & I had my surgery on may 4th. So, coincidence maybe, with the e-mail....somehow I doubt it. But, I am a believer in getting what I want & not being deterred by someone elses procrastination. Try the email & see if it works to get a response. Good luck & take good care. ogretta post-op part 1 may 4, 2001 ddr. inabnet, mt sinai > Dear Everyone- > I need advice!
