Guest guest Posted September 23, 2009 Report Share Posted September 23, 2009 Liz, using the pureed sauteed onions is always a good thickener for " gravy " and also if you can have beans of any kind, you can puree them to thicken soup or sauce or gravy. I found this out the hard way with my son - he wanted to try them and I let him and he had a bad day after that. I'll try the onions the next time I have some pan drippings to see if the taste is close to what we'll want. Thanks!
