Tracey-

As someone who has had both the Lap Band and the DS I can honestly say with

all of my heart that the DS is the superior surgery. I spent months

throwing up with the band and was absolutely miserable whereas the DS for me

has been the godsend I was looking for.

If I had to do it again I can tell you that there is no way I would EVER

have the band. I feel free with the DS--there is no tight feeling in my

chest after I eat, there is no throwing up if I don't chew my food to

absolute mush, there is no restriction on the types of food I can eat

because they will not pass through the band, there are actually hunger and

satiety signals that I have never had in my entire life and did not have

with the band and on and on and on. My life is far superior with the DS

than my life with the band could ever have been.

If you have specific questions for me, you know I am always happy to answer

them. Email me privately or I am happy to ring you anytime so you can ask

me anything that you want--just send me your number, OK? *smile*

This is a big decision Tracey--you need to do what is best for you and only

YOU know what that is.

Best of luck!

Warm Regards,
