Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I traveled to NYC on Thursday for my first meeting and consult with Dr Herron. He seems nice and capable. Said I was a good candidate. I wasn't happy because he gave me 3 more things to do before my June 12th surgery. A cardiac consult for clearance, 24 hour gastric ph test and esophageal pressure reading. He said I should stop the celebrex before surgery also. I still have to do the nutritional consult before they will even submit to the insurance company. I am going to look a each thing as a hurdle I must get through. I have had doubts about the DS when he started talking about complications and seemed to be promoting the RNY since is easy to do and only takes a couple of hours and is cheaper but I think DS is the way for me to go.
