Hi Elle:

The great American novelist, Kurt Vonnegut, has a saying that you

should use as a reply to these people who question your decision to

have surgery and thus save your own life. It goes like this.

" GO TAKE A FLYING FUCK AT A ROLLING DONUT...

GO TAKE A FLYING FUCK AT THE MOOOON!!!!!! "

Why are you horrified at what you read on the DS problem list?

98% of the problems people have are related to:

-- discomfort during the first few weeks post-op;

-- gas (and its odors);

-- poo-poo consistency and odors.

It is true that, occasionally, someone has some very serious

complications, but if you look more carefully, you'll see that those

people are an extremely small minority. There just appear to be more

serious problems because when such a case comes up, everybody (quite

understandibly) focuses as much attention on that individual as

possible.

If the nitwits on the diabetic lists insist on tearing you down, then

just jetison those people and move on over here. We've got your

back!
