Slightly OT - new symptoms dry/sore mouth

Hi,

I wonder if anyone has experienced this or has any idea what it causing it and

how to deal with it.

I have in the last couple of days come off a short predfoam stint to get over a

vicious flare up of my colitis.

In the last week or so I have started having a sore mouth. When I wake up in the

morning there is usually some white dead skin patches at the edges (in the

corners) and my tongue and the inside of my cheeks have become quite sore. My

lips are also pretty dry most of the time. I haven't been drinking any less than

usual nor have I changed my diet or medication/supplements recently either.

I wonder if this is some kind of vitamin deficiency caused by the steroids or

whether it is the old candida rearing it's ugly head again.

I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give.

Thanks,

Mike

Reminds me of my early days fighting a systemic candida overgrowth. Sores in my

mouth, dry chapped lips, dry skin around mouth and eyes, white patches on tongue

-- all symptoms of candida overgrowth, for me anyway. I usually get the

head/throat symptoms before the other stuff (first candida symptoms to show up,

last to disappear), so I know when I need to be careful with my foods for a

bit..

You might be careful with the candida trigger foods for a while, and push the

probiotics.

If it persists, then you might check in with your doctor. On the other hand,

candida overgrowth and digestive disorders go hand in hand.
