Guest guest
Hi....will try to keep this short and sleep as it is almost 3 am and I will be up in 2-3 short hours to go to work !! Sandy is switched......It all happened this morning at 7 am in Delano, CA under the skilled hands of Dr. Keshishian. One of her closest friends, , was switched in the afternoon, also by Dr. Keshishian.......I got to see her when I arrived in Delano for the meeting at 5:00 and she looked great....already had taken a walk and was lounging in her awesome lift recliner, with her private duty nurse and Mom (24 hr 1-1 nurse and private nurse is automatic protocol for all of Dr. K's patients...Dr.'s Orders !) She Just Could Not Stop Grinning ! Said she got a shot of Torodol and really didn't need it....(I warned her ....never turn down good drugs...LOL). I then went to the meeting and heard an Endocrinologist from USC speak....and went back and snuck in the back door of the hospital to see her before leaving (Cassandra was my partner in crime)....we of course ran directly into Dr. K....who thought my car needed a jump again....(you oldtimers remember that saga ?)...Anyway...Sandy was still grinning and even rose to my challenge of taking her THIRD walk !!! The nurse couldn't keep up with her.....oxygen, IV, Drug hit machine, ng tubing, catheter, et al in tow !!!!! She was a true inspiration at approximately 12 hours post op....the other side is certainly suiting her Just Fine ! Welll...............just had to share......another successful switch !!! (of course those who know me know that I had a few choice words with my dear doc about my slow loss......ya, I know.....Rome was not built in a day and all that crap ! LOL....the scales was my friend tonight though,......down to 59 lbs...now tomorrow I will analyze the fat to muscle ratio.... Anyone care to share their % loss at about 4.5 months out ? # lbs lost at 4.5 months / start weight ? Thanks- Peace- JJ __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Janice: > Anyone care to share their % loss at about > 4.5 months out ? I've lost 80 pounds 4-1/2 months out. I was 340 and 5'10 " . I'd guess my goal is about 170 so on a percentage basis that would be a goal loss of 170 pounds so the 80 pound weight loss would be about 47% of my excess weight. That leaves a long way to go but it's sure a good start. And remember, men tend to lose more quickly than women. Regards.
