I'm not trying to cheat myself but really this journal gives me more anxiety than you can image. I know I have to break some boundries and overcome a lot and a journal is nothing compared to some of the things I'll be faced with...I'm not sure why its making me so anxious. Guest guest
Journaling is very important. I got away from journaling and gained back 10 pounds. Pre op...Dr Fisher did check it at each consult visit with him. Plus if you see the nutritionalist, she will check it. It is such an important tool. It helps you see any patterns, it makes you conscious of everything you eat...each bite adds up. In the beginning it wont be any where near perfect, but by the time you get closer to goal you will notice a pattern of more mindful eating. If you hit a plateau or a slowing in weight loss, the journal could provide the answer. If the one Kaiser gave you doesnt work for you, get a spiral notebook and make one that does. The important thing is to track what you are eating, how much you are drinking and your exercise. Its hard at first but after a while it becomes habit. It makes you take a good honest look at what you are eating. Some people even put down their emotions or situation when they eat to see if there are patterns or triggers. You dont have to start that at first...just start getting your food and water intake down, then add in the exercise, then the emotions or situation. You will really come to value your food log. I am back to journaling and its helping get me back on track. Im less likely to eat something if I have to write it down. Good Luck to you Huggles > Anyone struggling with keeping a food journal? Guest guest
Thanks guys...I guess there's no way around it so at lunch I went and bought a notebook. PS Anyone have PCOS and had to get off of birth control pills or had to get on early menopause medication to prevent cysts from occuring in the 2 months you're supposed to stop estrogen? Just curious > Anyone struggling with keeping a food journal? Does the program ask to > see it to check up on you?
