Deb may be only one patient, but it was a pretty big complaint. Yes,

Dr Ren appears to be a skilled and competent surgeon, but what makes a

surgeon is how they handle decision-making in an unforseen urgent

situation. In Deb's case, it appears that she flubbed in a pinch. No,

I am not a Dr Ren patient, but I've worked with many surgeons. I am

not implying that Dr Ren is a " bad " surgeon at all. I just would not

want her doing a snap decision change in my surgery unless it was an

option that had been previously discussed, and it was discussed with

my health care proxy. Any surgeon can be skilled and competent during

routine expected situations.. its the actions they choose during

unforseen complications that makes them great.

Dear Liane,

To say that Dr. Ren " flubbed " in a pinch is very unfair. Do you know

this case firsthand? Who is to say that the surgeons decision was

wrong? Maybe the other alternatives were worse? All surgeries have

risk, sometimes things will not work out perfectly, each human body

is unique. I know for a fact that Dr. Ren will do the absolute best

for each of her patients. Dr. Ren explained all of the risks to me

quite clearly. I have 2 small children and I have no problem putting

my life in her hands. She does not take chances. Also, the one

unhappy patient names varies agencies that are supposedly

investigating Dr. Ren. I've checked and keep on checking weekly and

no agency listed by this patient has any record of a meritous

complaint or disciplenary action on file. That makes me wonder. Why

make false statements? Best of Luck to All.
